A bit of history ...

The diversity of people creates welcome.

B&B the Malvasia, the B&B near the river that is not there.
The Adige river crossed the village of San Martino which based its economy precisely on being one of the ports of the city of Trento and a lively commercial center.
The village was mostly inhabited by raftsmen, boatmen and tavern managers.
Given its importance for the city, the neighborhood was incorporated within the city walls.
With the diversion of the course of the river Adige of 1858, the district had to change its economy which came to concentrate mainly around the mining activity.
San Martino or Porta Germana was one of the ancient gates of the city and constituted the northern entrance to the city of Trento; Torre Verde was in fact the customs office.
The neighborhood was then devastated by a fire in 1879 and by aerial bombardments of the Second World War.
"Il Fiume che non c'è" is a festival that has animated the San Martino district since 2008, in May and November. It is a set of artistic installations, theatrical performances and concerts that are developed each year around a different theme.
The B & B La Malvasia is a quiet and peaceful place just minutes from the station, and from the heart of Trento and a few meters from the restricted traffic area.
We started the business in 2011 and then developed it with 3 more rooms in 2012.
The building is not very beautiful from the outside, in fact we say Brutti outside Belli inside.
The rooms are all with private bathrooms and windows with a cozy breakfast room.
